Building self-esteem and confidence in our youth.
“Fresno Police Activities League (PAL) brings Fresno Police officers and the youth in our community together through educational, athletic, and recreational activities while building strong, lasting relationships in the process. I am grateful for the ongoing partnership with Fresno PAL and look forward to the continued success of the program.”

JoIN FIGHTGIRL!Officer Lindsay Dozier of the Fresno Police Department created the Fresno PAL Fight girls program to help young girls build self-esteem and positive relationships with law enforcement. Inspired by her own experience with karate as a shy child, Dozier became a lifelong athlete and police officer. While working as a school resource officer, she recognized a need to support preteen and teenage girls dealing with challenges like insecurity, bullying, and social pressure.
In April 2020, Dozier and fellow female officers began teaching fitness kickboxing to girls aged 14 to 17. The program, which has since expanded, includes physical training and group discussions on relevant topics, helping participants improve their confidence and overcome issues like social anxiety.
The primary goal of this program is to provide a safe environment for young girls to feel protected while receiving guidance from strong female role models. We aim to empower young women through mentorship and coaching, giving them the support and encouragement they need to succeed in all parts of their lives.

Molly Palacios: Molly came to PAL Fightgirl during the pandemic three years ago. She was shy and very unathletic. She didn't talk during class discussions, and never wanted to draw attention to herself. Over the past three years, she has lost a lot of her shyness, and anxiety. She now is a Mentor in the class. She helps set up workouts, mentors new students, helps coach Fightgirl summer camp, and facilitates the warmups before class starts. Molly started attending and participating in 5k races with Officer Dozier in 2021. She got involved in cross country and track at Baird Middle School and is now on the Track team at Bullard High School and is now an up-and-coming sprinter, in her second year of high school. Molly is truly an inspiration for the coaches and other students at Fresno PAL Fightgirl.
