"You have to be able to accept failure to get better."
-LeBron R. James Sr.
The Fresno PAL Basketball League is a summer program for middle school students ages 12 - 14 focused on teamwork, skill development, and fostering positive relationships with local police officers. Volunteer officers coach, mentor, and run the entire league, creating a fun and supportive environment for youth to build friendships and learn valuable life skills through the sport of basketball.
We offer a range of activities designed to engage middle school students both on and off the court. Players participate in basketball skills training, team practices, and competitive games. Beyond the game, the program includes mentorship sessions where volunteer police officers provide guidance on leadership, teamwork, and character development. Team-building activities, sportsmanship workshops, and friendly competitions help strengthen relationships between youth and officers, promoting community trust and personal growth.
Become a part of the Fresno PAL Basketball community and make a difference in the lives of young athletes! Whether you're passionate about coaching, volunteering at events, or simply cheering from the sidelines, there's a role for you. Join us in fostering teamwork, sportsmanship, and leadership skills in Fresno's youth through the exciting world of basketball. Together, we can create lasting memories and positive experiences both on and off the court.
